²⁵ The hail struck every person and animal that was in the open countryside throughout the land of Egypt. The hail also struck the plants in the field and splintered every tree in the open countryside. ²⁶ Only the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel lived, had no hail.

²⁷ Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said to them, “This time I have sinned. The Lord is right. I and my people are guilty.
